Florida Sen. Marco Rubio said Wednesday the U.S. should bring back vocational schools.
"We need to get back to training people in this country to do the jobs of the 21st century," Rubio said at the third Republican debate. "People need to get trained to do this work while they're still in high school so they can graduate and go to work."
Rubio added that training American people on these jobs will enable companies to hire them.
"A lot of these tech companies are taking those centers to Canada," he said. "The ideal scenario is to train Americans to do the work, so we don't have to rely on people from abroad."
