Ebay lets you choose your Black Friday deals

Tired of retailers telling you which items qualify for their big Black Friday savings?

Fresh off its separation from payments system PayPal, eBay this holiday season will launch a digital wishbone, which pits two deals against each other and asks shoppers to vote on which discount they'd rather receive.

Face-offs include a GoPro Hero4 for 25 percent off versus an Apple Watch 38-millimeter stainless steel case for 18 percent off. In the home goods category, shoppers can choose to get 37 percent off a KitchenAid standing mixer, or 33 percent off a digital display four-slice toaster.

There will be six separate competitions, and voting will start every hour beginning at 4 p.m. Each round of votes will last one hour, at which point the winning deal will be unlocked. The promotion will be valid until supplies last.

EBay's promotion comes as shoppers are doing more of their holiday shopping online. According to Adobe, online sales are expected to reach $83 billion in November and December, which would mark 11 percent growth over the prior year.
