Investors may be facing the opportunity of a lifetime in certain areas of the market, hedge fund manager Marc Lasry told CNBC on Friday.
Lasry, who co-founded Avenue Capital, a hedge fund that specializes in distressed debt, believes the recent market volatility offers solid-entry points for those with a long-term horizon.
"I don't think it's a time to panic, I think it's actually a time where you've got opportunities out there. Invest in solid companies and you'll end up doing pretty well," Lasry said.
