The "Halftime Report" traders discuss their top plays amid a global sell-off.

Jon Najarian bought Delta, Johnson & Johnson, Statoil ASA, Marathon Oil, and Micron Technology today. He likes the opportunities the dips bring, although he's not sure how long he will hold these names.

Stephanie Link is looking at Carnival and Visa. She also notes that Delta--which she is long--has benefited hugely from fuel savings.

Joe Terranova thinks the best thing to do right now is to sit tight until we see stronger numbers from the energy and technology sectors.
