Nonprofit organization Women Who Code rang the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange on Wednesday.
The organization says it promotes women working in technology-related fields by offering free training in computer programming languages, holds networking events and has 50,000 members in 20 countries.
CEO Alaina Percival, Board Vice Chair Zassmin Montes de Oca and guests were in attendance at the event, which marked the start of trading on the exchange.
