More than one hundred companies in the S&P 500 are set to report earnings this week including big names like McDonald's, Apple, Microsoft, Chevron, Amazon, and Facebook. Here's what the "Halftime Report" traders are watching.

When Apple reports earnings tomorrow, Joe Terranova will be looking at the company's guidance closely. Jim Lebenthal is bullish on the name at these levels. He argues that expectations are so low, they will easily beat. He is long Apple and thinks the next 15 point move will be higher.

Amazon reports on Thursday, and Terranova is expecting strong results coming off the holiday season. Sarat Sethi agrees, although he does wonder how the company will maintain its strong momentum going forward.

In the transport sector, Boeing reports on Wednesday, and American Airlines reports on Friday. For Boeing, Lebenthal is looking for clarity on how the slowdown in emerging markets will affect the airline since EM has a lot of growth potential. Sethi thinks American Airlines will focus on how it will increase revenue in light of its inability to raise prices due to oil prices.

When it comes to Chevron on Friday, Sethi argues capex, dividends, and where oil is headed will be at the forefront of the dialogue.
