The video for the single, which has been released ahead of the musician's debut studio album "Mind of Mine", sees Malik, 23, kissing American fashion model Gigi Hadid.

Malik left One Direction in March 2015, citing a desire to be a "normal 22-year-old who is able to relax and have some private time out of the spotlight", according to a press release at the time.

One Direction formed in 2010 during the U.K. talent show "The X Factor". The band released four albums before Malik's departure and one after. The band earned $130 million in 2015, according to Forbes, but are currently on an 18 month hiatus beginning this month.
