Top trades for the 2nd half: Earnings ahead

This week was a big one for earnings, and the action continues next week with over 100 S&P companies set to report. The"Halftime Report" traders discussed what's at the top of their watch list.

On the heels of some strong and less-than-strong tech earnings, Alphabet will report on Monday after the bell. Josh Brown argues that Google is more sensitive to global economic weakness than some of its tech peers. Lowered advertising budgets, for instance, could negatively impact its numbers.

Steve Weiss is looking at healthcare. Overall he's bullish, calling it "a sector you want to get in front of."

Jim Lebenthal has his eyes on Pfizer, and he's hoping it reports a large share buyback next week.
