In a CNBC interview Thursday, JPMorgan Chase chief Jamie Dimon shared his views on negative interest rates and was upbeat on the U.S. economy.

"The market is sometimes irrational and sometimes rational," he told CNBC's "Squawk Box" from the bank's annual CEO summit. He added that he saw encouraging signs in the American economy with more people working and wages going up.
