Durant fires back at Cuban for Westbrook comments: 'He's an idiot'

Kevin Durant defends teammate, calling Mark Cuban 'an idiot'

Kevin Durant had strong words about Mark Cuban after the Oklahoma City Thunder ousted the Dallas Mavericks from the NBA playoffs in Game 5 on Monday night.

The outspoken Mavericks owner held court with reporters before the game and said Durant is the Thunder's only superstar. When asked about Russell Westbrook, Cuban said, "He's an All-Star but not a superstar."

Westbrook was asked about Cuban's pregame comments in the postgame news conference. Durant, however, answered for his teammate.

"He's an idiot," Durant said of Cuban. "He's an idiot. Don't listen to ... he's an idiot. That's what we've got to say about that. He's an idiot. Next question."
