Of the 315 S&P 500 companies that have reported first-quarter results so far, 74 percent beat EPS estimates, 7 percent matched and 19 percent missed. Of those names, about 57 percent of companies disclosed revenue figures above analysts' expectations, according to Thomson Reuters I/B/E/S.
