Investors should sell shares of 3D Systems as competitors like HP Inc. take market share, said Piper Jaffray, which downgraded its rating to underweight from neutral.

"Following our Q2 checks, we believe 3D Systems saw a significant slowdown in printer demand in Q2, and our checks suggest demand was more challenging than ever," said Piper's Troy Jensen in a Sunday note to clients. "We believe the Fusion Jet launch by HP is pausing demand and attracting existing DDD channels to partner with HP."
