CLEVELAND — The Trump campaign made a fundraising push Thursday ahead of Donald Trump's expected acceptance of the Republican presidential nomination.

A "donate" button on Trump's official campaign website redirects to a page with a picture of Donald Trump Jr., Ivanka Trump and Eric Trump, his three oldest children. It says they set a goal to raise $4 million by midnight "to officially kick off the general election."

"Please stand with my father at this crucial time," the page reads.

For perspective, the campaign said it raised nearly $27 million in June.

Trump is expected to cement his unlikely nomination in a speech here Thursday night at Quicken Loans Arena. He will turn his attention to a likely general election tilt with Democrat Hillary Clinton.

The Trump campaign has increased its pushes to possible donors online, largely through email requests.

It was unclear if Thursday's push to donate involved any other rewards.
