USOC CEO stresses further action against Lochte and teammates

Twelve-time Olympic medalist Ryan Lochte has not seen the last of the fallout surrounding his initial story of a robbery in Rio de Janeiro that he later admitted he "over-exaggerated."

U.S. Olympic Committee CEO Scott Blackmun said "further action" will come to Lochte and his three teammates who Lochte had initially said were all robbed at gunpoint at a gas station after a night of celebration, NBC reported.

Citing surveillance footage and witness testimony, Rio authorities said the group vandalized the gas station and were later confronted by security. Taking out their weapons, the guards told the swimmers to pay for the damage before leaving.

In an interview with NBC, Lochte said he "over-exaggerated that story."

Blackmun did not say what sort of action would be taken.

"They let down our athletes," Blackmun said. "They let down Americans."
