"The politician is only focused on the very short term. They're only focused on the next election," Boockvar said.
"Whatever excess and buildup and inefficiencies that build up over time, well that's left for somebody else. There is no accountability," he added.
Boockvar is chief market analyst at the macro economic and market research firm founded by Larry Lindsey. He previously worked at Omega Advisors, a New York based hedge fund.
