New MacBooks, iPad features and a monitor may be in the works from Apple — but at least some of those devices may not be seen until after the company's special September event, Bloomberg reported on Monday.

A thinner laptop, a faster iPad display to work with Apple Pencil, and 5K monitors are among the updates coming to Apple products, unnamed sources told Bloomberg's Mark Gurman and Jungah Lee. But the MacBook, which some tech bloggers had thought might come alongside the iPhone 7 in September, is more likely to be released in October, according to Bloomberg.

The description of the new laptop — with a digital touchscreen keyboard row — squares with earlier reports from industry blog 9to5Mac. Apple may also unveil a new iMac desktop and MacBook Air laptop, Bloomberg said.

New iPad Pro features, including smoother zooming, panning and scrolling and annotations across the operating system, are slated to follow in 2017, alongside a 10.5-inch display for the device, Bloomberg said. A high-resolution stand-alone monitor may also be ahead for Apple, a source told Bloomberg, although the report did not say when that would hit the market.

Apple did not immediately respond to CNBC's request for comment.
