David Ganek is an investor, art collector and philanthropist who is active in championing the need for government accountability in the justice system.

As founder and former head portfolio manager of Level Global Investors, Ganek created a $4 billion hedge fund that achieved above-market returns for prominent pension funds, endowments and individual investors. Prior to launching Level Global in 2003, Ganek was a partner and portfolio manager at SAC Capital Advisors, where he covered the technology sector for six years. He was previously a managing director at G&O Partners, a market neutral arbitrage hedge fund. He began his career at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, where he worked in the risk arbitrage division.

Ganek runs his family's foundation, which supports and lends contemporary art to educational institutions around the country. He serves on the board of City Squash and recently endowed the U.S. Squash Head National Coach Fund. He is also a member of the visiting committee of the Metropolitan Museum of Art and is actively involved with numerous other organizations, such as the Southampton Fresh Air Home and New York Presbyterian Hospital. Ganek formerly served on the boards of the Guggenheim Museum, Brunswick school and Jewish Communal Fund.

Ganek received a BA in government from Franklin & Marshall College.
