Shares of the fast food restaurant fell more than 40% from their 52-week highs hit in October.
Is a star activist enough to turn around this closely-followed but troubled stock? The "Halftime Report" desk weighs in.

The rest of our desk wasn't as bullish.
"What can an activist do to make people want to eat a second or third burrito of the week at Chipotle?" asks Josh Brown. He isn't convinced Ackman can move the revenue needle.
There are many headwinds for a turnaround story here, argued Joe Terranova.
