Behind the scenes at London Fashion Week

The best-dressed and trend-setters descended on London at the weekend for the start of London Fashion Week.

CNBC highlights the movers and shakers at one of the world's most notable fashion events.

Among the first to showcase her work was designer Anya Hindmarch. Hindmarch's SS17 collection was inspired by space and geometry.

Fluffy slippers with smiley faces and oversized bright coats were the stand-out pieces among Hindmarch's pieces, along with a series of colored handbags. Historically Anya has been best known for her bag designs including the well-known "I am not a plastic bag".

CNBC's Tania Bryer caught up with Will.i.am in London during Fashion Week. They discussed the launch of his new bluetooth wireless headphones and why he's worried about the upcoming U.S. elections.

The music star and entrepreneur recently re-launched the Black Eyed Peas classic "Where is the Love", in support of the refugee crisis.

Outside the Topshop UNIQUE show in east London on Sunday afternoon, bloggers, models and street stylists hovered to get their photos taken and catch celebrities leaving the show.

Hollywood star Liv Tyler spoke to the press ahead of her second collaboration with Belstaff, showcased on Sunday afternoon. Tyler talked about adjusting to life in London, being a working mum and what inspired her new collection.

Outside the Topshop UNIQUE show in east London, another dedicated follower of fashion gets herself noted.

Topshop UNIQUE's Spring Summer 2017 show was held at Old Spitalfields Market in London, evoking the 1980s with fluorescent colorsand miniskirts. Among A-listers on the "frow" were Alesha Dixon, Louisa Johnson and Tallia Storm.
