S. Leslie Ireland has served as Treasury Department Assistant Secretary for Intelligence and Analysis since 2010. She leads the Office of Intelligence and Analysis, which provides intelligence support to the department's mission to safeguard the financial system and to combat national security threats.
Ireland has been a career intelligence officer for more than 30 years. Prior to joining Treasury, she was PDB briefer to President Obama and was the first Iran mission manager, where she integrated collection and analysis on Iran across the intelligence community. Ireland received the National Intelligence Distinguished Service Medal and CIA's Intelligence Commendation Medal.
