Clorox earnings miss expectations, but revenue beats

Clorox on Wednesday reported earnings that fell short of analysts' expectation, but revenue topped forecasts.

The household products maker posted earnings excluding items of $1.36 a share on revenue of $1.443 billion.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters had expected the company to report earnings of $1.42 a share on revenue of $1.428 billion.
