Gisele Bundchen told Instagram fans that husband Tom Brady and she would not back Donald Trump in the presidential election, according to a report from NESN.
Instagram user "_ricky_ve" recently asked the fashion model if it were true the couple was backing Trump. Bundchen responded with "NO!," according to a Twitter post from NESN's Doug Kyed.
The tweet set off a firestorm of comments on Instagram.
Although it is unclear if Bundchen actually made the post — CNBC has reached out to Bundchen's Intimates collection for comment — if true, the statement could contradict words from the GOP presidential nominee. On Monday, Trump told a crowd in New Hampshire that the New England Patriots quarterback said he voted for him.
