Trump's campaign website temporarily had bug that allowed users to edit banner on page

Donald Trump's website appeared to have an interesting bug on Election Day.

The error, which looked to have been fixed, allowed users to edit the URL, allowing the banner text to display whatever they have entered.

For example, entering "Clinton wins" generated a page where the banner displays the text in all caps.

The bug seems to have been fixed so that no text is now displayed when the URL is edited.

The Trump campaign and digital design firm Giles-Parscale did not immediately respond to CNBC's requests for comment.
