Great Odin's raven! New York City's famous Will Ferrell-themed bar is expanding its reach to Los Angeles, bringing all the Anchorman paraphernalia and Ron Burgundy quotes you could possibly imagine. The so-called Stay Classy Bar will head for a surprising space in Hollywood for a ten-day run beginning Monday, December 5.
Initially launched last year in NYC's Lower East Side, Stay Classy became an immediate hit with the kitsch crowd, due in large part to its sheer determination to stay on theme. Owner Zach Neil turns out drinks like the Milk Was a Bad Choice and the You're My Boy Blue (showing the range of the bar beyond exclusively Anchorman lines), while the space itself is littered with various Will Ferrell accoutrement including movie posters, actual outfits and details from film sets, and lots of signed stuff from all over the place.
Playing on the success of their East Coast launch, Neil and company have decided to test the waters with a Los Angeles pop-up inside the TCL Chinese 6 Theater (formerly Mann's Chinese) right in the thick of Hollywood. And, if all goes well this run, they could find themselves with a permanent space on the West Coast sometime down the line.

It's important to note that Will Ferrell himself is in no way involved with the bar (it's more of a tribute than anything), but he certainly is aware that Stay Classy exists. In fact, this Los Angeles launch will be used in part to raise money for Ferrell's charity Cancer for College, which helps defray secondary education costs for families with a college student who's been affected by cancer. They'll be selling related merchandise and hosting a number of Elf and Anchorman-themed parties too, with some of the proceeds going to the charity.
To get access to what's sure to be a popular party, you'll have to text the word "classy" to 929-291-0337, then await further instructions. The pop-up starts Monday, December 5 and runs through Thursday, December 15 only. And as for whether or not local boy Ferrell will actually show up to his own party? The Stay Classy folks can't ever say for sure, but there's a chance Ron Burgundy himself could be slinging drinks the night you stop by.
