Connor Rafferty: Riff Raffs

Meet Connor, 24, from Hastings. Connor lives with his fiancé Josephine and 4 month old, Bodhi. Connor is a keen musician who enjoys playing the guitar and singing. He is very competitive, but believes competing isn't enough, he has to be the captain of the team, and wants to be the best.

Connor is a trainee Barber, studying his level 3 NVQ. He is very passionate and knowledgeable about his field, and currently operates a mobile service for friends and family.

Over the years in barbering, he has noticed an increase in men taking care of their appearance and that being well groomed is now becoming a routine for men as well as women. The male grooming industry is a multi-billion pound worldwide industry.

Connor's company is called Riff Raffs and he want to offer a range of natural grooming products including a dry shampoo for men, which currently does not exist on the market.

Barbering is in his family; his step dad works as a barber, his mum as a dog groomer and his fiancé as a hairdresser. He feels like it was a natural route for him to take and the satisfaction of giving people exactly what they want gives him the drive to do this.

Connor would like to go to China to Develop and produce a range of dry shampoo for men. Connor believes winning the £20,000 will be life changing for him. He hopes that Riff Raffs will become dominant in the grooming Industry, and that it grows from a small local business to a much bigger national brand.
