Full interview with Deutsche Bank CEO John Cryan on the bank's future strategy

Deutsche Bank CEO John Cryan shared his views on the bank's future strategy in an exclusive interview Wednesday for CNBC PRO subscribers from the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

On the company's geographic footprint: "The core is really to continue to be this company anchored in Germany with a universal bank there, which is focused on international markets," Cryan said. "We've largely withdrawn from Latin America. ... It's that arc from USA through Western Europe and all the way to the Far East."

In his first ever interview since becoming chief executive of the bank, Cryan also discussed:

  • Job cuts
  • Asset disposals
  • Bank regulation
  • Whether a capital raise will be necessary
