US debt yields hold mixed as investors await key economic data

U.S. government debt prices were mixed on Monday as investors look ahead to fresh economic data.

The yield on benchmark 10-year Treasury notes was lower at around 2.346 percent, while the yield on the 5-year Treasury note was also lower at 1.877 percent. The 30-year bond was lower with the yield at 2.978 percent.

On the data front, Monday will see the release of the latest ISM manufacturing index reading at 10:00 ET. The index rose to 57.7 in February February and is expected to inch lower to 57.5 in March. Construction spending and vehicle sales data will also be released.

In oil markets, Brent crude traded at around $53.21 a barrel on Monday, down 0.60 percent, while U.S. crude was around $50.31 a barrel, down 0.57 percent.
