Trump offers inspiration to students at American Legion event days after rambling Boy Scouts speech

President Donald Trump spoke Wednesday to the American Legion Boys Nation and Auxiliary Girls Nation and largely offered words of inspiration to the students gathered at the White House.

Trump called those gathered "the next generation of American leaders" and told them to "pour your whole heart into everything you do."

It contrasted remarks he made to young people just days before, when he riffed about politics and joked about firing a Cabinet member in front of a Boys Scouts of America event.
