Shares of Salesforce slid more than 1 percent in extended trading after the company released its after the bell. The cloud computing company beat estimates on earnings and revenue for the quarter, and posted guidance slightly above expectations.

Shares of Cree dropped nearly 8 percent in after-hours trading. The lighting products manufacturer met bottom-line expectations and beat revenue estimates in its , but offered weak guidance for the next fiscal quarter.

Wells Fargo shares slipped 3 percent before recovering in extended trading after the banking giant's CEO told employees to brace for more negative headlines following the forthcoming results from the company's review of its consumer-sales scandal.

Shares of La-Z-Boy plummeted more than 13 percent in after-hours trading. The furniture maker missed earnings and revenue expectations.
