Walt Disney World will close early Saturday as Hurricane Irma heads toward Florida and will reopen at Tuesday the earliest.

Parts of the theme park are closing at various times Saturday. For example, Typhoon Lagoon will close at 5 p.m., while the Magic Kingdom will close at 9 p.m.

Disney's Blizzard Beach closed Friday. ESPN Wide World of Sports will be closed Saturday. Scheduled performances and activities at the theme park have been cancelled.

Guests with tickets for Night of Joy at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex and Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween party can receive a full refund or tickets to a future event.

Hotels at the resort will remain open.

Walt Disney World Resort is near Orlando, Florida. Irma is expected to hit Florida on Sunday, according to the latest update from the National Hurricane Center.
