announced on Wednesday that companies can now buy 3-D objects that users can drop into their snaps.

Here's an example: Remember the dancing hotdog that was popular a few weeks back? Now brands can create their own augmented reality-like objects that will appear in clips.

Bud Light is one such sponsor, as is Warner Bros., the latter of which already has a new object to market the movie "Blade Runner." The objects can be dropped onto a surface, such as a table, and can be resized, moved and come to life through user interactions.

More importantly, this shows yet another way that Snapchat is looking to generate revenue. The hotdog lens that Snapchat launched was viewed more than 2 billion times.

Brands will be able to purchase lenses as national ads or audience-targeted ads.
