- Twitter says President Trump's personal account was deactivated for 11 minutes because of the actions of a departing employee.
- It says it is "taking steps to prevent this from happening again."
The company sent out a tweet from its Twitter Government team saying that Trump's account has been restored.
"We are continuing to investigate and are taking steps to prevent this from happening again," the tweet said.
Twitter followed up, saying that a customer support employee had deactivated the account on the employee's last day with the company.
Twitter Government tweet: Through our investigation we have learned that this was done by a Twitter customer support employee who did this on the employee's last day. We are conducting a full internal review.
