Long Form Programming Internship

The Long Form Programming Unit produces original documentaries broadcast in prime time on CNBC and available on CNBC.com, the CNBC app, Hulu, Amazon and iTunes. Our work is distinguished by strong reporting and great storytelling with a strict adherence to news standards. Interns have the opportunity to assist producers and editors on projects at all stages throughout the process, including pre-production, research and story development, field work, and post-production. Interns may write story pitches, conduct pre-interviews, assist on local shoots, log video, obtain archival content, organize media and assist with promotional efforts by creating companion content for the web and social media platforms. Our interns are given hands-on experience providing them with a solid foundation for careers in journalism and television production.

We welcome applications from candidates majoring in a variety of disciplines, but who are serious about journalism and long form documentary production.
