Here's one way to ask out a potential prom date: Build her a digital fort.

Thanks to Fortnite — the popular video game that's part Hunger Games, part Minecraft — many teens have found a new way to craft their "promposals."

Reddit user Navypython shared video footage of the game, which includes a massive structure in front of his in-game character. After setting off a series of explosives, the structure eventually spells out the phrase "PROM?"

The trend was first spotted by video game site Polygon.

Based on a search on Twitter, other students have also attempted the in-game "promposal."

Fortnite has been a huge deal since a free version of the game called Fortnite Battle Royale debuted last year. Each match drops 100 players on an island, with the last person standing declared the winner.
