President Donald Trump was set to deliver remarks on Wednesday at the AMVETS 75th national convention in Louisville, Kentucky.

Trump will address more than 2,500 military veterans at the Galt House Hotel, according to a press release.

"We are honored to host President Trump as AMVETS commemorates its 75th anniversary," the group's national commander, Rege Riley, said in the release. "While our members look forward to hearing about what the President has done for our veterans and military, we are also eager to hear his goals for the future."

AMVETS is a congressionally charted veterans service organization founded in 1944 during World War II. The group is open to any member of the armed services who served honorably or is still serving, and the organization has more than 250,000 members nationwide.
