Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell is holding a news conference following the surprise rate cut on Tuesday.

The briefing is set to begin at 11:00 a.m. ET. The Fed announced an emergency rate cut of half a percentage point in response to the growing economic threat from the coronavirus.

The move from the Federal Open Market Committee was the first such cut since the financial crisis.
