The retail sector will continue to sort into winners and losers as the U.S. economy recovers from the pandemic, a top analyst for the industry said Tuesday.

JPMorgan's Matthew Boss, who was just named the top-ranked retail analyst by Institutional Investor magazine, told CNBC's "Power Lunch" that he was focusing on a few key trends to find successful companies and explained his reasoning behind some value picks in the retail sector.
