Williams-Sonoma (WSM) price target raised to $168 from $165 at Citi. WSM had a remarkable quarter and will just stand there and buy stock and also give you a great dividend at 1.9%. Anaplan (PLAN)—money-losing enterprise software company gets $66 bid from Thoma Bravo, a software investment firm. Reminder of private equity pools that can still take action without FTC issues. Nvidia (NVDA): Both Bank of America and BMO Capital says stock is a buy ahead of analyst day Tuesday. General Motors (GM) reset the table with the buy of Softbank's stake in Cruise self-driving unit for $2.1 billion ...This was crucial buy because it shows the determination of CEO Mary Barra to have self-driving cars, says Wolfe Research. Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway to buy insurance company Alleghany (Y) for $11.6 billion in cash, a 16% premium to Allegheny's average stock price in the past 30 days. Jefferies upgrades Banco Santander to buy from hold, says bank can benefit from higher interest rates around the world. Air Products (APD) upgraded to buy from neutral at JPMorgan. Analyst likes large scale Jazan project in Saudi Arabia more than its core business, sees good merchant gas pricing. Citi adds American Tower (AMT) to its "Positive Catalyst Watch List." Trading at a sum-of-the-parts discount to competitors. Deutsche Bank (DB) upgraded to hold from sell at Bank of America—odd but says private banking is strong. Unbelievable: Bernstein's Toni Sacconaghi has the guts to talk about $10B-plus for Apple's ad network … Don't forget Shenzen is back on line and that cost Apple (AAPL) about ten points. MoffetNathanson suggests buying Alphabet (GOOGL) off ad renaissance. Likes Apple too. Mizuho likes Ventas (VTR) very much .. says senior housing is back ... controversial name. Centene (CNC) board approves medical leave of absence for CEO Michael Neidorff. Stock looks attractive … Bullpen for us? RBC Capital lowers price target to $50 from $65 for Uber . Analyst prefers Lyft and says share gains are ephemeral. But it lowers Lyft price target to $50 from $53 anyway. FedEx (FDX) price target lowered to $298 from $310—says management walked away from its double-digit margin target for Ground. Adobe (ADBE) price target cut to $600 from $650 at RBC Capital ... reports tomorrow. Twilio (TWLO) price target lowered to $300 from $350 at Stifel. Silvergate (SI)—Alternative way to gain exposure to crypto, says Bank of America, which initiates a buy. Rate sensitivity thesis still has room to run. But underperforming rate-sensitive peers. Five Below (FIVE) 2022 looking great, says Deutsche Bank. Risk/reward is skewed positive. Investor day March 30.
