Here's a rapid-fire update on every stock in the CNBC Investing Club portfolio. Jim Cramer ran through each one of them on Thursday during the January edition of our "Monthly Meeting." Apple (AAPL) — We are still firmly in the "own it, don't trade it" camp. The iPhone maker reports earnings in the first week of February. If the stock falls below $120 ahead of the print, that could be an opportunity to buy some shares. Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) — While AMD has become a terrific and transformed semiconductor company under CEO Lisa Su, it has lately been a challenging stock to own in this market because of its inventory glut. We hope its recent Xilinx acquisition can provide more of a lift to AMD outside of the slumping PC, gaming and data center markets. Amazon (AMZN) — While the online retailer and cloud company has started to reduce its headcount, ultimately it must do more to correct for its over-expansion during the early Covid boom times. Failure to better align expenses with revenue trajectory may prompt us to reconsider our position. Bausch Health Companies (BHC) — If we don't have more information on the fate of Xifaxan's patent within the next six months, the Club will no longer own this troubled drug stock. Caterpillar (CAT) — Our newest stock joined the portfolio Tuesday morning . We see the industrial giant as well-positioned to benefit from a surge in federal infrastructure spending. While the stock has been a winner lately, it remains reasonably valued. Plus, the company has a track record of raising its dividend and buying back stock. Costco Wholesale (COST) — Costco's business continues to thrive as consumers seek out retailers with a value-focused ethos. As much as we'd like to maintain a bigger position in this roughly $472 stock, we're refraining from violating our cost basis of $291.52. Salesforce (CRM) — Activist investors are pushing for profit-focused changes at Salesforce, which remains expensive versus the overall market. While the software firm announced it was laying off 10% of its workforce in early January, there may be more cuts ahead. Cisco Systems (CSCO) — Cisco has a big order backlog and plenty of cash on hand. For now, we're sticking with the stock, which carries a roughly 3.3% dividend yield. Coterra Energy (CTRA) — Questions around Coterra's natural gas assets have swirled since its early November earnings report . We're not too concerned about it. The company can pay out an attractive dividend with nat gas around current levels. Danaher (DHR) — One of the best-run companies, which just raised its fourth-quarter sales guidance last week . The life-sciences firm has plenty working in its favor and viewing it as merely a pandemic winner is too simplistic. Disney (DIS) — Disney is entangled in a board-seat fight with the legendary activist investor Nelson Peltz. While Disney argues Peltz lacks the expertise to be a director at the media-and-entertainment giant, he would bring accountability to an organization that needs it . Devon Energy (DVN) — We still like energy companies like Devon, which employ a variable dividend model that has translated into sizable payouts to shareholders. Those returns will be robust with U.S. oil around $80 per barrel. Estee Lauder (EL) — Estee Lauder is major winner from China's shift on Covid late last year, and shares of the cosmetics giant ripped higher in response. Out of discipline, we booked profits about two weeks ago and put a 2 rating on the stock, meaning we'd wait for a pullback before buying more. But with China reopening, this is a name we want to stay in. Emerson Electric (EMR) — Started our position in this industrial giant in December , believing its portfolio transformation will create tremendous value for shareholders. However, we're not huge fans of Emerson's hostile takeover attempt for National Instruments . The reason is primarily that we don't like hostile takeovers in general. Ford Motor (F) — Conventional wisdom says don't buy automakers when there's a recession on the horizon. But we're staying invested in the company amid its electric-vehicle transition, and its dividend pays us to be patient. The stock yields nearly 5%. Alphabet (GOOGL) — Similar to Amazon, we're looking for Alphabet to get expenses and revenue in line after it kept hiring despite slower revenue growth. But so far, we haven't seen much cutting from Google's parent company. Halliburton (HAL) — As an oilfield services provider, Halliburton stands to benefit now from many years of underinvestment. Last week, with shares at their highest levels since June, we trimmed our position. But we still believe its business has a multi-year runway. Honeywell International (HON) — We'd be looking to scoop up shares of Honeywell if they declined meaningfully. The company would benefit from a less-aggressive Federal Reserve. But in the moment, its aerospace business is booming , and the company pays a dividend and buys back stock. That's in line with our mantra of owning companies that make stuff at a profit and return some of it to shareholders. Humana (HUM) — Humana is doing very well, evidenced by its recent outlook revision. The health insurer now estimates its Medicare Advantage enrollment will grow by at least 625,000 members in 2023, up from prior guidance of 500,000. Johnson & Johnson (JNJ) — J & J is a buy here. The stock has kind of been stagnant over the past six months or so. But its breakup into two publicly traded firms is in the best interest of shareholders. Linde (LIN) — Our outlook on Linde, an industrial gas maker, is similar to Honeywell. Linde shares got off to a rough 2023 , but have started to claw their way back. And on Wednesday, shareholders officially approved the company's plans to delist from the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, a good long-term move . Eli Lilly (LLY) — The pharmaceutical giant has a bright long-term future, led by its diabetes drug that carries massive potential as a weight-loss treatment, too. We also may get data on its latest Alzheimer's drug this year, but success there is not all or nothing . Meta Platforms (META) — There are some positive catalysts that could lift Meta, including U.S. government-imposed restrictions on TikTok that would boost Meta's competing offering Reels. However, the company's massive metaverse investments cannot continue to be a money pit forever. Morgan Stanley (MS) — For income-seeking investors, Morgan Stanley is a great place to look as the stock yields north of 3%. Plus, the bank's transformation into a wealth management firm under CEO James Gorman is working , which showed up in its quarterly results earlier this week . Microsoft (MSFT) — Trimmed some recently out of discipline after CEO Satya Nadella warned that the next two years could be challenging for tech . Despite our generally sour attitude toward tech, we know that a stock like Microsoft will move higher if market sentiment really starts to turn positive. Nvidia ( NVDA) — We're not ready to recommend Nvidia shares, despite our belief in the transformative potential of the company's technology in fields such as artificial intelligence. Pioneer Natural Resources (PXD) — Pioneer can be bought here. It continues to boast a roughly 10% dividend, based on a similar variable model that Devon uses. Procter & Gamble (PG) — P & G posted in-line second-quarter results Thursday morning, but notably raised its full-year sales forecast range and lowered its expected hit from the strong U.S. dollar. The consumer staples maker remains a solid name to own in 2023 . The stock also yields roughly 2.5%. Qualcomm (QCOM) — Sold some shares into strength Wednesday and, in general, our long-term hopes for the company are a bit more measured at this point. Semiconductors remain in a tough position. Starbucks (SBUX) — Discipline trumps conviction, which is why we took some profits in Starbucks on Tuesday following a big run in recent months. We happily locked in a gain of roughly 26% on shares purchased in August. Constellation Brands (STZ) — We're keeping an eye on Constellation, looking for an opportunity to add to our position. There's some noise surrounding the company's business, especially due to inclement weather in California. But beer sales tend up to hold up in a recession, and STZ shares currently trade at a discount to their 5-year average. TJX Companies (TJX) — The off-price retailer is an exciting story in this economic moment because it benefits from the inventory gluts at other companies. While the stock has had a nice run in recent months, it can still go higher. Wells Fargo (WFC) — One of our favorite stocks in the portfolio. It's attractively valued, carries a dividend yield of about 2.8% and should benefit as CEO Charlie Scharf works to remove the remaining regulatory overhangs he inherited. Wynn Resorts ( WYNN) — Our patience in Wynn Resorts has paid off, with the stock surging roughly 75% over the past three months as investors got some clarity on China's Covid reopening plans.
