NEW YORK -- Postal officials have announced that letter carriers from Inwood, Arverne, Rockaway Beach, Rockaway Park and Breezy Point will attempt to make deliveries in the Rockaways.
Officials stress that the Rockaway Main Post Office will provide general delivery services _ as it did on Monday _ if mail carriers are unable to make a delivery Tuesday due to safety concerns.
Customers should look for mail carriers to deliver in the following ZIP codes: 11691, 11692, 11693, 11694, 11697 and 11096.
Post offices in Inwood, Arverne, Rockaway Beach and Rockaway Park remain temporarily closed.
