Vision Musical Instruments Announces Appointment of Music Industry Veteran Greg Sotire as New U.S. Sales Manager

NORWALK, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Vision Musical Instruments, LLC (VMI) www.visionmusical.com the exclusive U.S. distributor of exceptional, high-quality musical instruments based here, today announced the appointment of Greg Sotire to U.S. Sales Manager according to company CEO, Michael Spremulli.

He will also interface with national rep firms, and manage internal and field sales staff,” said Spremulli. Prior to joining VMI, Sotire was Sales and Operations Manager for Ossining Music Center in Ossining, New York, from 2001 to 2009, where he coordinated all hiring and training of new employees, managed a team of five sales reps and repair staff, and was responsible for all instrument, accessory, and sheet music purchasing and supply management. He also handled purchase orders and billing for school accounts, band instrument rentals and billing, as well as string, brass and percussion repair and tuning. He began his career at Sam Ash Music in White Plains, New York in 1998 to 2001 as a Senior Sales Representative where he trained new sales reps for the guitar department, managed accessory orders, and handled guitar department sales and customers service.

For the past 17 years, he has been a guitar and theory teacher and private tutor in Westchester County, New York where he teaches guitar basics and music theory, technique, improvisation soloing and practical use, proper tuning and maintenance. Concurrently, he has been a lead and rhythm guitarist as well as lead and backup vocalist in Westchester, New York, working with a variety of bands and being involved in session work. He is also a song writer and arranger.

Sotire graduated from Westchester Community College in Valhalla, New York, in 1996 with an Associate’s Degree in Music and Liberal Arts. He is an avid motorcyclist, musician and performer, song writer, and enjoys the outdoors and healthy living.
