Media Briefing Invitation For the Transport of Endeavour

Media briefing and interview opportunity on October 4, 2012

What: A media briefing for the transport of the Space Shuttle Endeavour, the next phase of "Mission 26: The Big Endeavour," will take place on October 4th at the California Science Center. Invited media will have the opportunity to ask questions and receive information in advance of the Space Shuttle Endeavour's transport through the streets of Inglewood and Los Angeles on October 12th and 13th. California Science Center staff and LAPD representatives will provide information on credentialing and suggested sites for media.

After the briefing, media attendees will have the opportunity to interview California Science Center spokespeople in Endeavour's future home, the Samuel Oschin Space Shuttle Endeavour Pavilion.

When: Thursday, October 4, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
Media sign-in begins at 8:30 a.m.

Where: California Science Center, 700 Exposition Park Drive, Los Angeles
Enter the visitor parking lot at Figueroa & 39th / Exposition Park Drive

Please show parking attendant press credentials or a business card for complimentary parking. Media trucks and vans only are asked to park along State Drive.

Who: Shell Amega, Vice President of Communications at the California Science Center Foundation, along with Lieutenant Andrew Neiman and Sergeant Rodolfo Lopez of LAPD, will lead the informational session and help answer questions about the transport.
