Global Data Center Provider CyrusOne Opens Its Newest 80,000-Square-Foot Facility in San Antonio, Texas

The largest in the market, the company celebrates the official commissioning of the site at a ‘Havana Nights’ Oct. 4 open house event showcasing facility design and technology

SAN ANTONIO--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Global data center provider CyrusOne, a wholly owned subsidiary of Cincinnati Bell (NYSE: CBB), announced today its newest, 80,000-square-foot facility has been officially commissioned in San Antonio, Texas, and is open for business. The first enterprise data center established by any provider in the market, the company is celebrating the milestone on Oct. 4 with a customer open house event that embodies a night out in Havana, Cuba.

“We are very excited about our newest facility in San Antonio which enables us to complete the last leg in the country’s first state-wide Internet Exchange platform that will link all of our data centers in the largest metropolitan markets in the state of Texas, including Dallas, Houston, Austin and San Antonio,” said Gary Wojtaszek, president, CyrusOne. “This will be the first enterprise-class multi-tenant data center in San Antonio, which is a great location because of its low cost power and relatively disaster free geography.”

CyrusOne is expected to launch the first statewide Internet Exchange in the United States later this year in Texas, which connects these four markets as part of CyrusOne’s Sky for the Cloud™ peering and interconnection enablement platform. The CyrusOne facilities connected across the four markets deliver the highest level of power redundancy and density to host mission-critical systems and high-density storage environments, such as those deployed by the largest cloud providers in the country.

From a disaster-recovery perspective, CyrusOne offers a solution that protects customers' IT equipment by providing military-grade security, reliable power, and connectivity in the raised-floor areas where equipment is housed and in the Class A office space.

The “Havana Nights” open house celebration includes a facility tour, live Latin music, handmade cigars, prize drawings, food, and beverages. To receive an invitation and additional information about the open house, please contact Yunche Wilson at ywilson@cyrusone.com or 713-237-8707.
