HARRISBURG, Pa., Oct. 2, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board posted on its web site today its monthly report for total revenue generated from the play of slot machines at Pennsylvania casinos during September.
According to the report, September gross revenue from slot machines at the 11 operating casinos was slightly higher this year at $200,465,589 than the $200,148,304 in gross revenue generated in September 2011, a difference of less than 1%. Tax revenue in September of this year was $108,338,974.
In a comparison of just the ten casinos operating in September 2012 that were also open for the full month of September 2011, revenue was 2% lower this year.
Gross revenue for each of the casinos operating in September 2012 is as follows, with the percentage change reflected for those casinos that were operating in September of both years.

The average number of operating slot machines throughout Pennsylvania at the 11 casinos was 26,420 in September 2012 compared to 26,441 at the 10 casinos in September 2011.
