Media Advisory: New Economic Growth Forecast

WHAT: Dr. Changyong Rhee, Chief Economist at the Asian Development Bank (ADB), will host a conference call briefing on the Asian Development Outlook 2012 Update, which will unveil new economic growth forecasts for developing Asia including China and India.

This Update shows whether these forecasts were met, explaining divergence between forecasts and the actual outturn, and firms the forecasts for the next 18 months or so.

WHY: The looming fiscal cliff in the United States and sovereign debt crises in the eurozone could threaten the global economy, particularly in developing Asia.

WHO: Dr. Changyong Rhee, Chief Economist at the Asian Development Bank (ADB).

WHEN: Wednesday, October 3, 2012, 10 a.m. EDT (Washington, D.C. time) via Conference Call from Hong Kong, China
