ATLANTA, Oct. 4, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Arrow Records, a division of Arrow Global Entertainment, has just announced its signing of award-winning gospel artist Pastor Kim Burrell.
A GRAMMY nominee and three-time Stellar Award winner, Kim Burrell has attracted a worldwide, cross-genre fan base with her distinct alto vocals and her empowering messages of faith and healing. Having started singing at a very young age, she has amassed a successful, 20-plus year career and has released five albums: Try Me Again, Everlasting Life, Live in Concert, No Ways Tired and her most recent project, The Love Album (2011), which garnered a Dove Award, two Stellar Awards and a GRAMMY nomination.
Over the past two decades, Kim's talents and the spiritual example she sets have earned the respect and admiration of her peers in both gospel and secular music, and she has worked with superstar artists such as Alicia Keys, Stevie Wonder, Sean "P. Diddy" Combs, Chaka Khan, Harry Connick, Jr., Shirley Caesar, Yolanda Adams, and Kirk Franklin. She also collaborated and shared the stage with the late, great Whitney Houston, with whom she shared a special friendship.
The Arrow Records family is extremely excited about the prospects of their new relationship with Pastor Burrell. "Kim Burrell is a widely respected global brand, and we are elated to join forces with her by forming this unique partnership," says Arrow General Manager Cappriccieo M. Scates. "We have all been huge fans of her work for many years, and having an opportunity to assist in bringing her music to the world is an amazing honor! Like most, I refer to her as the greatest voice alive, and I am so excited about working with her!"
Arrow is planning to release a debut album with Kim Burrell in May 2013.
