Woolite Celebrates Women and True Love at Girl's Night Out

NEW YORK, Oct. 8, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Reckitt Benckiser, the parent company of Woolite®, announced today the continuation of its WooliteWashed campaign by teaming up with Simon Property Group, Inc. for Girl's Night Out on Thursday, October 11. Taking place at 64 participating Simon® Malls, consumers will have the opportunity to engage in shopping, exclusive spa treatments, and food tastings unique to their locations.

"At our core, Woolite believes that a single article of clothing can be the difference-maker between a good and a great night," says Tara Murphy, marketing director, Reckitt Benckiser. "Whether it is that perfect pair of jeans or your favorite LBD, you can have an emotional, transformative connection with your clothes. We want to help make that true love last by sharing our WooliteWashed experience with consumers across the US, and Girl's Night Out is the perfect venue."

"It is important for women to enjoy vibrant personal relationships with other women," said Lisa Bennett, Assistant Vice President of Business Development at Simon Property Group. "We want to promote those relationships at a place they love to be – their local Simon mall."

This past September, Woolite embarked on one of the boldest campaigns that the laundry detergent category has ever seen by debuting its WooliteWashed campaign during New York Fashion Week. The iconic brand stepped out of the laundry room and onto the streets of SoHo's chic shopping district with the opening of its very own boutique, featuring the latest, everyday fashions.

True to the brand's campaign slogan, "WooliteWashed. Clothes look like new, longer", each item showcased was washed in Woolite so that consumers experienced the product's benefits firsthand. The experiential pop-up was named a "Top Idea" by BizBash and "Top Pop-Up Shop at Fashion's Night Out" by Racked NY.

Girl's Night Out attendees will also receive WooliteWashed limited-edition garments and accessories, pre-washed in Woolite, previously sold at the boutique. The five notable designers featured will be: Dannijo, Felix Rey, LNA, Laundry by Shelli Segal, and Timo Weiland. Items have a retail value of $28 - $60. The first 100 consumers attending Girl's Night Out at one of 18 participating malls in New York, Los Angeles, Dallas, San Francisco, Boston, Atlanta, Philadelphia and Washington DC, will receive a gift bag, containing one of the items mentioned.
