NEWH's Regional Tradeshow Heads to Dallas October 18th, 2012

DALLAS, Oct. 9, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- NEWH, Inc.—The Hospitality Industry Network is bringing its bi-annual Regional Tradeshow back to Dallas, Thursday, October 18th, 2012, from Noon-6:00 p.m. at the Anatole Hilton Hotel.

The tradeshow—free to attend for architects, designers, specifiers, purchasing agents, hotel owners and managers, design students, and educational professionals—will boast 150 exhibitors showcasing the latest in hospitality products on the sold-out show floor.

"The NEWH Regional Tradeshow offers both exhibitors and attendees the face-to-face contact which is so important. In addition, since the booths are six-by-six, the shows are small and intimate and attendees are able to see numerous amount of product and samples in one day," says Jena Seibel, tradeshow/marketing manager, NEWH, Inc.

Kicking off the tradeshow is the Hospitality Design (HD)/NEWH Owners' Roundtable, from 10:30-11:55 a.m., which is designed to connect designers, architects, and purchasers with influential executives in hospitality. In HD's version of speed dating, table "hosts" from various hotel, management, and equity companies—from Accor and Omni to Remington and FelCor—will discuss the industry, new projects, and answer attendee questions, on a rotating basis. Confirmed participants include Bruce Burkhalter, Benchmark Hospitality International; Monty Bennett, Ashford Hospitality Trust-Remington Hotel Corporation; Robert Carl, FelCor Lodging; Rod Stewart, Marriott; Laura McKoy, Omni Hotels; Juan Morales, Magnolia Hotels; Don Hansen, Accor North America; and Jerry Luker, Accor Hotels. To further entice attendees to attend the tradeshow, there are two $500 door prizes, a complimentary lunch from Noon-1:00 p.m., and a cocktail party with hors d'oeuvres and cash bar from 5:00-6:00 p.m.

Surrounding the tradeshow, the chapter is planning what they are dubbing "Three Days of Hospitality." Wednesday, October 17th, is the NEXT & NOW student/mentor event, where some 60 students will meet with local hospitality design leaders and business owners for a panel discussion, portfolio reviews, and mock interviews. The three days conclude on Friday, October 19th, with Life of Design, a scholarship fundraising event and chair design competition.
