CAPE PAC Predicts Ryan Victory In Upcoming Vice Presidential Debate On Thurs., Oct. 11, 2012

Polls Show Increased Support for Romney-Ryan Ticket

WASHINGTON, Oct. 10, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Coalition of Americans for Political Equality Political Action Committee (CAPE PAC) Chairman Jeff Loyd today predicted a "decisive victory" for Republican vice presidential nominee and U.S. Congressman Paul Ryan (R-WI) in the upcoming debate against Vice President Joe Biden on Thursday, October 11, 2012.

"Paul Ryan will own the night, although there's no doubt that Vice President Joe Biden will be a formidable opponent," said Loyd, noting that Biden is a seasoned debater and has taken six days off the campaign trail to prepare for the debate.

"Congressman Ryan has a pro-growth, opportunity plan to put American workers back to work and America back on track. He'll do an outstanding job on Thursday night, delivering a one-two punch against the Obama ticket," said Loyd. CAPE PAC strongly supports the Romney-Ryan ticket and Ryan's bid for the No. 2 slot as vice president because of his solution-driven ideas and experience in the U.S. Congress for over 13 years and tenure as chairman of the House Budget Committee, Loyd said.

"We especially applaud Congressman Ryan's bold, entitlement reform plans, which will reduce irresponsible federal spending, as well as sweeping tax reform, all so that we can honor our commitments to every generation of Americans," said Mark Pfeifle, CAPE PAC spokesman.

"A strong performance by Congressman Ryan will further help the gains made by Republican Presidential Nominee Mitt Romney after his stunning performance last week against President Obama," said Pfeifle.

Pfeifle, a former White House deputy national security advisor, also commended Gov. Romney's foreign policy speech yesterday at the Virginia Military Institute in which he delivered a strong critique of the administration's handling of the recent, deadly attacks on the U.S. embassy in Libya in which U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans were killed by radical militants.

"Recent events in Iran, Iraq, Israel, Syria, Russia, and elsewhere are very disturbing. We need a president who clearly understands the dangers our nation faces, and who takes appropriate steps to protect America and our interests in the region. Such matters have a direct impact on our security at home," said Pfeifle.

A new Pew Research Center poll released Monday gave Governor Romney a four-point lead among likely voters, showing major headway since last week's debate. The poll also showed that 66 percent felt Romney won the debate. Among likely voters, Romney leads with 49% vs. 45% by Obama.

Pfeifle noted that CAPE PAC recently released an ad, "Fact vs. Fiction: Paul Ryan vs. Joe Biden" that highlights the stark differences between both vice-presidential nominees, namely that Ryan is focused on solutions for the economic recession and Biden is a part of the Washington blame game. The ad is a part of a series that highlights facts behind fictional claims put forth by opponents of CAPE PAC-supported candidates. Click here to view the ad: http://youtu.be/JdYGZqISb1w.

As part of their "StopMr.Obama.com," online campaign, CAPE PAC recently released a video titled "Hypocrite," that shows a President more focused on the Hollywood glitz, rather than leading America back on the right path. The video can be viewed at: http://youtu.be/2DsWQJuMY8w

Said Loyd: "The truth is, the Obama presidency has been full of failures, from unacceptable unemployment and deficit levels to foreign policy mishaps. The American people are sick of excuses. CAPE PAC stands behind Romney and Ryan because they have real experience and real solutions."

CAPE PAC also launched a newly-designed website site for StopMrObama.com. The new homepage calls on voters to pledge to reject Obama's re-election and displays each week's latest video. The new site also has a content-rich section called "Reasons to Pledge Your Vote" that includes 30 articles specific to Obama's policy and leadership failures. CAPE PAC has also been promoting the hashtag #StopMrObama.

CAPE PAC has also been pushing the hashtag #RomneyRyan2012 on Twitter, as well as spreading the news through other online social channels, such as Facebook, Google+, and an online search campaign to put the facts first.
