What's on your Christmas list this year?

Chances are it's not a $65,000 garden peacock, a $300,000 toy racetrack or a $55,000 trousseau of Leontine Linens. But if those things were on your list, you'd be in luck, Neiman Marcus would have you covered.

Yes, this year's edition of the retailer's Christmas Book is out, along with its selection of outrageous fantasy gifts.

First published in 1926 as a 16-page booklet that was sent as a Christmas card to the department store's best customers, the tradition has evolved over the years.

Now, each year, many look forward to seeing what unique items and experiences the retailer has conjured up for its list. Past lists have included a $35 million Boeing Business Jet, "his and hers" hot air balloons and mummy cases that contained an actual mummy.

And this year's crop of fantasy gifts doesn't disappoint. Among the items are:

"His and Hers" 2014 Vilebrequin Quadski: For $50,000 each, shoppers can purchase the high-speed Quadski pair. These vehicles can convert from a high-speed water cruiser to roving on land in just under five seconds.

Tanqueray No. Ten Imperial Shaker by Jason Crawley: This $35,000 gift is a cocktail-making machine that was designed from a 19th century drawing. This item comes with a cocktail class for you and as many as 20 guests and a one-year supply of Tanqueray No. Ten.

Vanity Fair Academy Awards Experience: For $425,000, you and a guest can have your red carpet moment. Oscar weekend kicks off in style with a stay at the Peninsula Beverly Hills hotel. To prep for the big night, there will be a hair, makeup and wardrobe stylist on hand and jewelry on loan.

House of Creed Bespoke Fragrance Journey: Travel to Paris to meet with sixth-generation master perfumer Olivier Creed to craft your custom scent. The perfume will arrive a few months later in 24 14-karat-gold six-liter flacons and 12 14-karat gold-accented leather atomizers. The price tag: $475,000.

Custom Locket and Trip with Monica Rich Kosann: Fly to the German town of Idar-Oberstein, which is home to many gemstone cutters, to design your own custom locket with designer and photographer Monica Rich Kosann. Later, you'll meet with Kosann in New York so that she can take the family portrait that will go in the locket. The cost? $100,000.

Ultimate Mardi Gras Experience for Six Couples: Ever dream of riding on a float in the Orpheus Parade at Mardi Gras in New Orleans? This $125,000 experience will offer you the chance.

While some of the prices of these products may sound as outlandish as the items themselves, there are customers who actually purchase these gifts—although in any given year, not all the fantasy gifts will find a buyer.

One item, however, always sells out—often in the first 24 hours of availability: the luxury car. These limited-edition cars were added in 1995, beginning with a BMW Z3 roadster.

This year, 100 limited-edition Maserati Ghibli S Q4 cars will be sold, starting at noon on Oct. 22 for $95,000 each, to commemorate the Italian car company's 100th anniversary. The car's 3.0-liter V6 twin-turbo engine was produced in collaboration with Ferrari and can go from 0 to 60 mph in a mere 4.7 seconds.

A portion of the sales from each of the fantasy gifts goes to Neiman's foundation, which helps support arts programs.
